Keeping it Green

Whistler is a place of natural beauty, and a breath-taking place to hold a user conference. So what is Safe Software doing to reduce our conference’s eco-impact and preserve this landscape for future generations?

Green is the New Black

It's a trendy term for a trendy cause. But here at Safe we believe in doing what we can to make a difference by doing the little things. As part of our goal to lessen the impact on the environment while attending the conference, we are implementing the following initiatives:

• Slides will be available as a download after the conference
• Plastic name badges will be re-used for future conferences
• Recycling bins for aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass and paper will be located throughout the conference area
• Safe staff will be taking shuttle buses and carpooling to get to Whistler to reduce our carbon emissions

We’ve also selected a venue, The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler, which already has many green programs that are helping to reduce waste, save engergy and cut down on greenhouse gases.
